Part-Time Student Information

Students interested in taking classes part-time at MCC as a non-degree seeking student can do so while they are working on a degree at Kansas State University or one of the other area colleges. To become a part-time student you should:

  • Contact the Registrar's office to confirm available/closed classes
  • Fill out an application and reference forms
  • Have transcripts sent to MCC from any/all your previous colleges
  • Pay the $25 one-time application fee

Night classes are available for some courses.

Non-degree student who enroll in 6 hours or less are eligible for a special part-time rate of $179 per hour**. Students taking 7-11 hours are charged the regular part-time fees. Winter, Summer, and distance education courses have a separate fee structure. Contact the Admissions Office for current prices (785-539-3571). Not all course offerings transfer to KSU.
