Jackson Heights Duo Sign with MCC

The Jackson Heights High School (KS) duo of Trevin Jacobsen, 6'3 forward, and Cole Olberding, 6'3 guard, have signed letters of intent to play basketball at Manhattan Christian College in 2014-15. Both players were important pieces on the Jackson Heights team that advanced to the sub-state finals this season. Jacobsen is a left-handed forward with a high intensity motor and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Jackson Heights coach, Ed Ramsey, described Jacobsen as a very coachable and hardworking player who's best basketball is ahead of him. Jacobsen averaged 9 ppg and 5 rpg and was honored as an All-County selection. Olberding is an athletic guard with great playmaking ability. He averaged 12 ppg 3 rpg and 3 apg while shooting 48.3% from three point range for the Cobras. Cole was an NEK All-League selection and Coach Ramsey described him as a great team player with a tremendous upside. Coach Condra is proud to add these two players to an ever-growing recruiting class. MCC will look to Jacobsen and Olberding to be immediate impact players next season.
