Department Chair and Professor of History, Sociology, or Communications in the General Studies Department
This position is for a professor who will primarily teach in his/her area of specialization, such as history, sociology, or communications (written and oral). This person will also provide leadership to the General Studies Department, which largely consists of adjunct faculty.
Doctoral degree in related field preferred. Other advanced degrees or terminal degrees in progress will be considered. Teaching experience (college classroom preferred) including a philosophy of education appropriate for undergraduate studies.
In accordance with board policy, the applicant must be a professing Christian and demonstrate faith in his/her personal life through active participation in a local church, not necessarily a Christian Church/Church of Christ, that is like-minded and supportive of the college’s statement of faith, and agrees to support the doctrinal statements recorded in Article Two of the Articles of Incorporation.
