Systems Developer

  • Provide technical expertise while enhancing website, database and other Grace system software applications. Position requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination abilities, problem solving skills, strong computer skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal staff, attendees, visitors, and external church relationships.

    Location: Central Support

    Reports To: Information Technology Director

    Position Classification: Full-time; exempt

    Weekly Schedule: Monday – Friday


    • Accurately analyze and implement solutions for a SQL based relational database via web-based GUI and/or server side tools
    • Be an integral part of the programming team utilizing SQL, API, PHP and SSRS knowledge
    • Aid the website development team by providing solutions to existing needs with WordPress, plugin development and database integration
    • Focus on driving innovation and streamlining processes
    • Documentation of implemented systems policies and processes
    • Work closely with ministry leaders to gather requirements and identify future development opportunities
    • Utilize available technology and software solutions to enhance ministry processes, operational efficiencies and critical ministry objectives


    • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology with a focus on website and database integration (experience in mobile app development a plus)
    • Proficient use and experience with Microsoft Office, Google apps and databases
    • Good organizational and administrative skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Great relational skills: full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional
    • Skilled in researching and finding requested information
