MCC knocks off CCCB

The  men's basketball team knocked off Central Christian College of the Bible (CCCB), 73-54 on Friday.  MCC struggled against the CCCB zone early, but led midway through the first half 19-12.  The Crusaders were able to extend their lead by halftime to 36-18.  In the second half MCC was able to extend their lead to as many as 23 points, but CCCB continued to battle and shaved the lead back to 53-40.  The Crusaders had one last push left and finished off the victory.  Matt Doerksen had a strong game scoring 15 points and pulling down a team-high 12 rebounds.  Sage Ruis led MCC in scoring with 17 points and Bryce Birtell scored 11 pioints.

MCC is now 12-9 overall and 5-1 in conference play which currently has them in a three-way tie for teh Conference lead.  The Crusaders take on St. Louis Christian College on Saturday afternoon.
