Current Course Offerings

Distance learning opportunities in MCC’s perpetual learning environment include a variety of online course offerings. Courses are 8-weeks in length and descriptions are below. These courses are offered each semester in either of two terms. For the Fall 2010 semester the 8-week 1 term (x) begins August 23, and the 8-week 2 term (y) begins October 25. MCC also offers a summers term that typically begins the first week of June (†not all courses offered in summer term). See the current distance line schedule and book list (pdf).

HISTORY of CHRISTIAN BEGINNINGS

This course is designed to introduce the student to in-depth study of the New Testament book commonly labeled “Acts of the Apostles”. Our form of reading will primarily be historio-grammatical exegesis with an emphasis on book content, structure, and literary themes. This course will also introduce the student to the 1st century Greco-Roman and Jewish context of the book and will also explore basic theological themes.
