Full time Jr/Sr.  High Youth Minister
Mountain Gove First Christian Church is in Mountain Grove, Mo. It is a small town, with a population of around 4,750. We are approx. 70 miles east of Springfield, Mo. We love "reaching out" to the community and have several events that help us do just that. We are a New Testament Church striving to live and practice principles taught throughout the New Testament. Our example has come from the church in the book of Acts. We believe the Bible is the Word of God and has answers for life, which include: how a person comes into a relationship with Jesus, as well as the practices of the early church, which we continue also.

The First Christian Church is seeking an individual who wants to follow Jesus and wants to lead young people to Jesus as well, to educate, mentor, and guide our youth through their Christian walk. This person would minister toward the spiritual development of the youth. This person would be able to teach, organize events, work with existing youth sponsors and mentor members of the youth group, as well as, being able to reach out to youth within the community. We want a youth minister who will breathe freshness into our active program. They will oversee junior church on Sundays and oversee our youth gatherings. Camps and special events are summer activities we encourage our youth to attend and require the youth minister to assist in making preparations toward those events.

We are looking for someone who is Christ-centered, spiritually minded, a good communicator, responsible, hard-working, personable, and called and gifted by God to such a ministry. We would prefer someone with experience in working with youth programs. Salary will be discussed as well as days and hours upon request.   The decision process will begin with a youth minister search team. After the applicants are narrowed down, the names will be given to the elders for final consideration.
