SUMMARY:Free Bible Class
DESCRIPTION:The mission of Manhattan Christian College is to help you be the Christian leader God is calling you to be.  A topical free Bible class is offered each semester as a flexible learning opportunity. \nFall 2025Apocalyptic Literature \n5 Monday EveningsSept. 29-Oct. 27\, 20256:00-8:00 p.m. (CT)Participate In-Person or Online \nThe Bible is made up of a variety of books written in a variety of genres.  As such\, different interpretational rules need to be applied to these various genres.  Readers cannot interpret the Psalms the same way they interpret the Book of Acts; the New Testament Epistles cannot be interpreted the same way as Old Testament narratives.  One of the more challenging biblical genres is apocalyptic literature.  \nJoin us as we undertake reading through the Bible’s apocalyptic texts\, learning to interpret these texts in their original contexts and how they might be applied to readers today. \nProfessor:Dr. Alisha Paddock \nDr. Alisha Paddock graduated from Manhattan Christian College with a B.A. in Cross-Cultural Ministry in 2002.  She went on to receive her Master of Divinity with New Testament Concentration from Emmanuel Christian Seminary in 2007.  While teaching New Testament and Greek courses at MCC\, she completed a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Birmingham (UK).  \nRegister Below to Receive Class Materials Each Week by Email: https://mccks.edu/free-bible-class/ \nQuestions?Contact Jolene Rupe at 785-539-3571 or jrupe@mccks.edu
