Associate Minister of Outreach/Youth
Penn Forest Christian Church in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Associate Minister focusing in the areas of Outreach/Youth. Our ideal candidate is a committed, energetic servant leader with a missional heart who is able to build relationships across multiple age groups. He must, at the minimum, have an undergraduate degree encompassing biblical studies from a Christian college or university, demonstrate a firm belief in Christian Church/Church of Christ doctrine and meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
The Outreach/Youth Minister will work in coordination with the Lead Minister to move PFCC to where God wants us to be as a congregation that makes Christ known. His primary responsibility will be on reaching out in the name of Jesus for the sake of the Gospel and his secondary responsibility is to minister to the youth of PFCC, developing a program, until the time that a focused position is needed. The rough expected split in regards to time will be 70% to outreach and 30% to youth.
PFCC is located in a residential community with two high schools within a 5 mile radius. The Roanoke Valley has a population of roughly 300,000, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts because of its location in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and is fast becoming known for its medical emphasis.
