Children/Youth Minister

The Christian Church of Burlington, KS seeks a full time Children’s and Youth Minister, to continue its 160 year mission in the community.  The individual we are looking for will guide children and youth into becoming followers of Jesus Christ, and continue their training and growth in Christ.  We are an elder run, conservative, evangelical, independent Christian Church with our roots in the restoration movement.  We averaged 114 people, spanning 4 generations over the last 26 Sunday’s.  Burlington, KS offers great schools and community amenities.  Our main facility is 11 years old with a sanctuary capable of seating 300+ people.  In addition, we recently added an 8,000 square foot kids and student education wing.  The education wing is a flexible space, with room to grow, and is stocked with equipment to provide a great environment to bring young people to a right relationship with Jesus.  In addition to competitive pay, we also offer a parsonage for the person filling this position.  All current church owned facilities are debt free.

In this time of the Covid disease, we have reached out to the homebound and those not wishing to leave their home by providing streaming of our services on Facebook Live.  Our Sunday sermons on Facebook Live reach 100 to 400 people. We also subscribe to Right Now Media service as a source of material for our staff.
