Job Description
Woodland Heights Christian Church is seeking Full Time Children’s Minister. The Children’s Minister will lead and coordinate ministry for children (birth–5th grade) to build a strong Biblical foundation for them and their families. Ensure programs align with the church’s vision and foster spiritual growth. Reports to the Lead Minister.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee children’s programs, including Sunday School, worship services, small groups, and discipleship.
- Recruit, train, and lead volunteers for effective ministry.
- Communicate regularly with families and volunteers.
- Maintain ministry spaces for safety, cleanliness, and engagement.
- Organize events and promote children’s ministry within the church.
- Administer background checks and ensure safety standards.
- Manage curriculum, budgets, and resources.
Qualifications
- Experience in children’s ministry and leadership.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to train and equip volunteers.
- Agreement with WHCC’s Core Values and Beliefs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Children’s or Family Ministry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Planning Center software.
