Crossroads Christian Church is a 30-year-old, multi-generational church in the Kansas City suburb of Shawnee, KS. We are an independent Christian Church, part of the Restoration Movement. We have an average Sunday attendance of 630 in our 3 services. Our mission is to bring people to Jesus Christ and to assist them in becoming His fully devoted, reproducing followers.

Crossroads Christian Church is seeking a Creative Arts Pastor. The primary role of the Creative Arts Pastor will be to humbly serve the Lord Jesus Christ as a staff member of Crossroads Christian Church, to work in collaboration with the rest of the staff and serve the church as a whole, with an emphasis on using various creative outlets to help market and promote various events and ministries at Crossroads.

This position will directly lead our production team, as well as work closely with our music and sound teams during Sunday morning services, as well as collaborate with various ministries across the church.

Therefore, a successful candidate must be an immersed Christian themselves and able to fully support the statement of belief, doctrine, core values and philosophy of Crossroads Christian Church.

Any candidate for this job must possess a solid, working knowledge of graphic arts design, photo and video editing, electronic communication, and social media use.

Responsibilities

Oversee all creative arts and graphic design elements for Crossroads ministries.
- Includes, but is not limited to, designing posters advertising various events, flyers/event invitation cards, as well as other printed material for use at Crossroads.
- Create graphics for sermon series, all church events, as well as working with Student and Kids ministry pastors for their events also.
Maintain all online presence for Crossroads
- Maintain and edit the church website, with the potential to create and build a new website.
- Maintain and grow our online presence through various social media platforms.

Be the communication hub for the church, including, but not limited to, crafting a monthly newsletter that includes a letter from the lead pastor, major life updates for members (births, deaths, weddings, baptisms), as well as informing all recipients of upcoming events for the month.

Model high standards in your own personal, family and devotional life. Maintain a good example in your relationships with others, studying, praying, tithing, etc. A personal dedication to your own spiritual growth is required.
The person chosen for this role will be expected to hold high personal integrity both at home and in the workplace, be competent and confident yet coachable, have a strong work ethic, and be of high personal and professional character.
Strong communication skills are required – both within the staff and ministry teams, and outwardly to others in the church.
Adhere to the policies in the staff policy book, as well as the expectations of Crossroads Christian Church membership.
Be willing to build relationships and invest in the lives of people in the church.
Serve as the staff overseer to the Production Ministry Team. Additional ministry teams could be assigned in the future, based on relationships with leaders and proximity to your ministry area.
Given the proximity of working with the sound team, having any experience with Behringer X32 sound boards would be beneficial, but not required.
Have photography and video skills or be able to learn them quickly.
Proficiency with professional photo/video/graphics editing and creating software is expected.
Be available to share your gifts and talents in other areas of the church ministry as time permits. There will be opportunities to take the lead on church-wide events and outreaches. While we do get to have primary areas of focus on the church, we do at times branch out to help in other areas.

This is a full-time, salaried position. A 4-year degree from an accredited Bible College/University is preferred, with preference given to a Bible College/University within the Restoration Movement.
