Family Minister

The Foundry is a non-denominational church re-plant located in Burke, VA (12 miles outside of Washington DC), whose mission is Guiding People to Forge a Life-Long Reliance on God. We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary! While we are a young church, we are thriving and growing, and as a result, The Foundry is seeking the right candidate for the role of Family Minister to oversee the vision and direction of our children’s and youth ministries

We have families serving in the federal government, in the military, and in everyday careers. All of these careers, and living so close to the nation’s capital, provide for a unique and challenging ministry environment. The right candidate for this position would see the diversity in our area as an opportunity, and take on the challenge with fun and creativity.

The Foundry believes that the Family Ministers responsibilities are twofold:

1: To resource and equip parents as the primary influence in the lives of their children.

2:  To lead ministries for children and teenagers, to Guide them in Forging a Life-Long Reliance on God, in a safe and fun environment for kids and students.

The Family Minister will lead a family ministry strategy that helps children Forge a life-long reliance on God. The desire is to see strong, thriving, fun, and fruitful kids and teens that are gospel-focused and equipped to continue their growth even after they leave Burke.

The right candidate will have a profound and deeply personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to develop culture and grow the family ministries.
