Job Description

Community Christian Church in Moore, OK is seeking a full time minister with openness for part time. Moore is a growing community between Oklahoma City and Norman. It is located on one of the main streets in Moore. Community is a small congregation that has no debt with good resources. Eldership is strong with support of Minister. Our present minister was here for 15 years and will be retiring June 1.

Work Schedule

This position is a full time/ Part Time position with the specific work schedule governed by the contract between the minister and the Church.

Doctrine

Incumbent must possess the doctrinal position that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary; that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh who died upon the cross of Calvary for the sins of mankind, was buried and resurrected on the third day and is now in heaven waiting for His return.
The Bible is to be the authority for the Church and the basis for preaching and teaching by incumbent.

Responsibilities

Minister is expected to devote full time to the restoration of men and women to the divine pattern.
Minister is to perform all duties which usually pertain to the office of minister and as spiritual administrator of the church including but not limited to:
- Preaching,
- Teaching classes,
- Home visitation,
- Hospital calls,
- Funerals,
- Weddings and
- Other appropriate functions as agreed upon with the Elders.
Minister is expected to encourage and raise up future leaders within the fellowship.
Minister is expected to encourage and support participation by the members in the overall ministry.
Minister will not be expected to do everything but to facilitate and organize as needed.
Minister is to serve as mentor/advisor and leader for all other staff.
Minister is to serve as an advisor to all organized groups, auxiliaries, committees and departments of the church providing spiritual guidance as needed.
Minister organizes the worship services for the church.
Minister is to serve as an advisor and organizer for functions of the congregation.
Minister is responsible to the Elders for the overall performance of his position on a day-to-day basis.
