Next Gen / College Ministry Women’s Assoc. Director

Position Title: Next Gen // College Ministry Women’s Assoc. Director
Reports to: College Pastor
Status: Full-time, Ministerial Staff (45 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, Sunday Services, occasional trips and all-church events

Job Purpose and Goals:
  • To lead, develop and implement a multi-campus strategy where female college students can experience Jesus, become more like Him, build a strong and supportive community, and help others through discipleship and service.
  • Contribute as a team player to the College Ministry Team to create opportunities to gather, connect and share the gospel with college students from across many campuses.
 
We are looking for someone who loves Jesus more than anything, loves people, and has a passion for college students.
 
What this role looks like:

40% – Develop/implement female discipleship strategy across multiple campuses

20% – Meet and invest in new students

15% – Coach college Life Group Leaders

10% – Event Planning / Communications

10%- Team Meeting/Programing

5% – Other ministry support (willing and able to assist in other areas of the church as needed).

 
Key Responsibilities:
College Ministry:

  • Develop a strong on campus presence through serving, small groups, and events.
  • Invest relationally with students including time outside of scheduled church events (lunch with students on or off campus, meeting for coffee, etc.).
  • Meet one on one or in small groups for discipling and counseling with women
  • Plan and coordinate outreach events, gatherings and retreats.
Student Discipleship and Leadership Development:

  • Develop leaders and systems for ongoing discipleship of students primarily through Life Groups.
  • Partner in leading the college leadership ministry (influencers) and see to developing ongoing leadership opportunities for students.
College Life Groups:

  • Recruit and train an effective team for College Life Groups
  • Multiply Life Groups as necessary
  • Monitor and maintain the health of the College Life Groups for Women
  • Develop a team of coaches to assist in overseeing the College Life Group Ministry
  • Communicate all details of the College Life Groups for Women in a timely manner
  • Partner with the LBC Life Group Team for guidance and resources
Volunteer Recruitment and Deployment:

  • Identify, recruit, equip and encourage high-capacity volunteers leading and executing on vision and mission.
Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with the Life Group Team to provide care to the College Women’s Life Groups
  • Coordinate with the Communications team to advertise and utilize our College brand
 
Qualifications:
  • Outgoing, not afraid to engage people in conversation and invite people in.
  • Passion for serving people well and attending to the details.
  • Understanding what it takes to create a culture of connection and spiritual growth.
  • Must be a leader of leaders with the ability to delegate easily in order to expand the ministry.
  • Strong team player that can bring their very best to a staff and volunteer team.
  • Ability to collaborate with several teams and bring back best practices while understanding and caring for the culture of each campus.
  • Ability and courage to invite people into deeper connections.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Positive contributor to staff culture with team collaboration as a top priority
Education/Experience:
  • College Degree required
  • Pastoral, ministry and/or shepherding preferred (Life Group experience a plus!)
  • Demonstrated skill in leadership development and discipling.
  • Proven experience in creating processes and systems to operate at high level.
  • Experience with recruiting and training volunteers, especially in a church environment

Must make Lincoln Berean Church their home church and participate in the life of the community (Life Group).
