Senior Minister
We are currently seeking a Senior Minister. This position will be mentored by our current Senior Minister, as he begins his transition to retirement; we wish to have a permanent Minister in place to help make a smooth transition. The mentoring/transition period will depend upon experience, passion, vision, and the needs of the incoming Minister. We are looking for a doctrinally sound minister with not only a passion for Christ but a passion to grow Christ’s Church. Someone with fresh ideas to help revive a church with a smaller congregation in a growing community. Someone to help us raise up leaders to reach out to our community and identify needs in which our support can exhibit the love of Christ to all. We pray that fresh eyes will bring new ideas to help our community outreach and that God sends us a leader with a heart for people and the community. This position will be engaged in helping build our outreach program, teaching and preaching on a regular basis, and assisting the Senior Minister in the daily ministry of the Church throughout the transition period, giving the new Minister time to get to know our congregation and community.
We are a non denominational independent Restoration Movement church located in the Texas Panhandle. Our church family is close, loving, and Big Texas Friendly. We have various Sunday school classes as well as weekly bible study groups that meet in the church and in members’ homes. Our Sunday morning service includes both contemporary and traditional music led by our Praise Team. The first Sunday of every month we have a Fellowship Meal after service to break bread and spend time in fellowship with our Church family. Our services are livestreamed on Facebook and then posted for viewing on our Facebook page and our website.
We have a big heart for our community and wish to better serve it. Dalhart is a small town in the Texas panhandle that is actually closer to six other state capitals than to Texas’ state capitol of Austin. Dalhart is the intersection of two highways and two railways. We are a primarily Agricultural community with agribusiness including but not limited to ranching, farming, feedlot operations, pig farms, dairies, and a cheese processing plant. Dalhart is a growing community as well as an ever-changing community with seasonal workers from all over the world, many of whom return annually. We have art, culture, and historical gems that will surprise you in Dalhart and close by. Dalhart is also home to the world’s largest free barbecue held annually during the XIT Rodeo and Reunion.
