Website First Christian Church
About Us
First Christian Church is an independent, non-denominational Christ-centered, Bible believing Church located in north central Oklahoma, in the city of Blackwell, which has a population of approximately 6000 people. Our Church was chartered in 1893 and has been at its present location for 65 years.
We are a dynamic and thriving Church with a rich history. We have Sunday morning classes for adults, youth and young children, a Wednesday evening Bible study and a youth program that is attended by approximately 100 youth/children/high school students. One Sunday a month, we host a Church family supper with members urged to invite guests.
First Christian Church of Blackwell cares deeply about our community. Our volunteer groups are second to none, and always ready to answer the call. Our Church is called upon often to provide meeting places for various organizations as well as our Church being a voting precinct for this area. We have a separate Youth/Activity Center that has a full kitchen, indoor basketball court, media/praise room with stage and modern sound system.
Our Church staff and family have lifted up and supported the same Pastor and his family for almost 25 years. We have all grown together with them. He has served us well but would like to retire in May of 2025.
We are excited to welcome a new Pastor that can help us take continuous steps toward fulfilling our mission as a Church, to live, grow, and love by God’s word. Click to read our Statement of Faith (What we believe) Statement of Faith
