Overview/Job Description

Highland Christian Church is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to lead our congregation with integrity, faith, and compassion as a New Testament Independent Non-Denominational Christian Church. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep commitment to Christian values, and a heart for pastoral care, preaching, teaching, and community outreach.

This role involves delivering engaging, biblically-based sermons, providing spiritual guidance and counseling, leading youth and educational programs, and fostering spiritual growth and service within the congregation and the broader community. The Senior Pastor will serve as the primary spiritual leader, preacher, pastor, and administrator, collaborating closely with the Elders, staff (paid and/or unpaid), and ministry teams to advance God’s Kingdom in Highland and the surrounding area.

The purpose of Highland Christian Church shall be as revealed in the New Testament; to win people to faith in Jesus Christ and commit them actively to the church, to help them grow in grace and knowledge of Christ, that increasingly they may know and do His will and to work for the unity of all Christians and with them engage in the common task of building the Kingdom of God.

About Us

Highland Kansas is a small, close-knit agricultural community with a population of 1,012. The town is home to Highland Community College, which provides higher education opportunities and brings cultural and athletic events to the area.
