Job Title: Senior Minister
Location: First Christian Church, Golden City, MO
Reports To: The Elders of the Church
General Job Description
The Senior Minister of FCC Golden City will work closely with the Elders, Staff and Committees in executing a vision for the church based on God’s Word and His leading. The Senior Ministers primary responsibility will be preaching sound, bible based sermons. He will also provide pastoral care to our members, attendees and visitors as well as the community of Golden City. The Senior Minister of FCC Golden City is considered an elder of the church and must work closely and cooperatively with the existing elders while also guiding them spiritually. He will also be the Chief Administrator of the Church Staff and will work closely with each department as mentor and spiritual guide. The Senior Minister is expected to develop a calling program for both he and the elders to stay in contact with members in their homes, hospitals and nursing homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preach Sound Bible based sermons on Sunday morning
- Work in a close team setting with the Youth Minster, Children’s Director and Committees in coordinating activities, teaching programs and outreach for all levels of individuals and families.
- Coordinate special services and events with the Elders, Worship Team, and other staff members
- Coordinate adult teaching, evangelism, and prayer ministry within the church.
- Be an ambassador to the Golden City community on behalf of the church.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited Christian College preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous Senior Minister Experience is preferred
- Must be very knowledgeable of the Restoration Movement and be able to guide the church as such.
- Must be be sound in the Apostles Doctrine and adhere closely to its biblically teaching and practices.

- Must have a passion for Preaching God’s Word!
- Be a good communicator, motivator, team leader/builder, and mentor with a genuine pastoral heart.
- Work closely and cooperatively with the existing staff and leadership.
