Job Description

Elm Street Christian Church is seeking a full-time Worship Minister. The Worship Minister will lead the congregation in worship and discipleship through Scripture reading, testimonies, teaching, communion, pastoring, music and new experiences to deepen our culture daily and corporate worship. We are a church of 400 in a small town of 8,000. Change happens in our culture on a practical, daily, and relevant rhythm.

The Worship Minister reports to the Lead Minister.

Qualifications:
  • Maintains a growing personal and corporate relationship with Jesus and the church.
  • Models Christ-like attitudes, characteristics, and actions.
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in ministry, 3-5 years’ experience, & Restoration Movement background.
Responsibilities:
  • Primarily a discipleship position, serving our congregation in seeking Jesus, becoming like Him, and doing the things he did. Be engaged in and lead our effort in the Encounter Disciple Mobilize mission.
  • Develop the worship services with the Lead Pastor to lead the church in thought, prayer, praise, and contemplation.
  • Lead, organize, and develop multiple teams (band, production, preparation, etc.) in the context of our corporate gatherings and our mission/vision.
  • Evaluate and improve our corporate worship & prayer services.
  • Assist the Student and Kids ministry in the areas of music and worship.
  • Oversee the technical side of our services (sound, lighting, slides, cameras, and online services).
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other ministries that engages with the worship ministry.

Office Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular and consistent communication with the staff, congregation, and teams,
  • Oversee worship budget.
  • Oversee maintenance of worship tools, instruments, and equipment.
  • Work with the office staff and ministerial staff on goals.
  • Be compliant with our policies and procedures and staff handbook protocols
