Marlboro Christian Church is seeking a Youth and Family Minister. Job Description

The Youth and Family Minister will be leading a team of staff and volunteers to create environments where children and students can learn about Jesus in a community of loving adults.

  • Champion of every age group.
    • The Youth and Family Minister should value every age group within the youth department of Marlboro Christian Church.
    • Ensure that every child has adults in their lives that will show up and connect with them, do life with them and invest in them.
    • Work with volunteer and paid staff to ensure that every age is being prepared to take their next steps toward Jesus.
  • Align Leaders
    • Align leaders with a common language and strategy. This will include overseeing multiple paid and volunteer staff, ensuring that their strategies are all aligned, developing a common language, recruiting, training, and equipping volunteers and staff.
    • Meet with teams regularly to identify common goals objectives and review budgets, this position is responsible for their team’s alignment and the church’s overall strategy for raising up the next generation.
    • Lead the team to develop, implement, and evaluate goals, objectives and budgets in their particular area of ministry.
  • Engage and Partner with Parents
    • Find ways to genuinely partner with parents in raising their children. Provide what the church can provide best: a loving network of caring adults who are committed to helping them grow in faith, wisdom, and friendships.
    • Resourcing of parents, constant communication with parents, training staff and volunteers to partner with parents, etc.
  • Refine the message
    • Craft core truths of scripture into engaging, relevant, and memorable experiences.
    • Work with Orange Specialist to best utilize curriculum for our environments and contexts.
    • Oversee communication of ministry areas.
  • Elevate Community
    • Give every child and student a caring leader and a predictable and safe place where they can grow spiritually.
    • Make LifeGroup the Big Event. Every kid and student of every age has a small group and a consistent leader who invests in them and their spiritual growth.
    • Provide experience opportunities to deepen relationships with leaders, students and families
