There’s a lot going on here at Grace and we want you to be a part of it! Whatever your passions and abilites are, your personal growth and development throughout the summer is our top priority. Utilizing your unique abilities, our goal for our summer internship is to empower you as a leader, strengthen your walk with God, and sharpen your teambuilding skills. Not only will you learn the inner workings of church ministry, but you will also build peer group friendships with the other interns.
This paid internship promises you a challenging, fun, and engaging summer. If you are wanting to fetch coffee and pick up dry cleaning, then this is not the job for you. But if you want an experience that you will never forget, then keep reading.

- Regular intern meetings with our Senior Pastor
Communications: This intern will help with everything from graphics, to website to development, to producing videos. They will also use their skills to help with social media posting and to create weekend service handouts.
Connections: This intern will help with our Grace Group ministry, our guest services team, our Grace care team and help with events and weekend service planning.
Grace Kids: This intern will help with lesson plans for classes, leading our kids worship team, assisting in all aspects of our Summer Breakout program and help organize weekend services.
Grace Students: This intern will be in charge of helping with lesson planning, Wednesday night Grace students, discipling students in groups and one-on-one, and helping plan and run all summer events.
Outreach: This intern will assiste with our outreach initiatives such as Freedom Fire, KCRM, and Avenue of Life. They will help with the planning and coordination of upcoming Outreach events, such as mission trips and SBO outreach.
Special Needs Ministry (SOAR): This intern will help with the planning and training of SOAR events, assist with curriculum development, assist with KC Special Needs Ministry Network and help design SOAR sensory room layouts.
Worship Arts: This intern will help lead worship in our venue, auditorium and Grace Students. They will also participate in the planning and organization of song selection and worship sets for weekend worship services.
Worship Production: This intern will learn how to produce and design lighting and video to enhance a worship experience. They will learn to implement audio systems for worship and special event settings, set stages, mix audio and provide technical support of events.
For extra credit:
- Can name 3 locally owned coffee shops in Kansas City
- Find excuses to work off-site as much as possible
This is a full time position, with each internship consisting of their own hours. Our summer internship runs from Monday, May 20th – Sunday, August 11th.
