Military and Veterans Education Benefits at MCC

MCC is committed to supporting our military and veteran students through various education benefits. As per the Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020, effective June 15, 2021, we provide comprehensive financial information and support to students using VA benefits. This includes a detailed College Financing Plan covering estimated costs for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and living expenses.

We offer a range of federal and state financial aid options, including Pell Grants, SEOG, Direct Loans, and Work-Study Programs, along with institutional aid. MCC participates in the Yellow Ribbon program and is also committed to the Principles of Excellence  as outlined in Executive Order 13607. For specific information on VA Education Benefits coverage, eligibility, and rates, please go to https://www.va.gov/education/.

If you are an active duty member looking to begin classes at MCC, we are registered with the Department of Defense. It is suggested that you contact your unit’s Education office to begin the process of utilizing this benefit. Feel free to contact our School Certifying Official as well.

Our commitment extends to providing clear information on graduation rates, transfer credit acceptance (including military credits), and any additional requirements for licensure or certification. To compare MCC with other institutions, visit the US Department of Education College Scoreboard and College Navigator.

For assistance or more information, MCC’s VA School Certifying Official is your dedicated point of contact. If you’re new to VA benefits, transitioning from another institution, or a returning student, please contact Kristina Blanck for guidance.
