Director of Technical Arts

Job Summary

Trinity Evangelical Church of Upper Sandusky, OH is seeking a Director of Technical Arts. The Director of Technical Arts leads and oversees all technical aspects of worship and
ministry at Trinity Evangelical. This role focuses on volunteer leadership coordination, worship production, and technology management to support engaging, distraction-free worship experiences and ongoing ministry operations.

Qualifications

• Personal faith in Jesus Christ and an active, growing relationship with Him.
• Passion for worship and serving the church.
• Alignment with the mission and values of Trinity Evangelical.
• Experience in audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems.
• Videography experience, including filming, editing, and production.
• Experience managing live streams (YouTube, Facebook, or similar platforms).
• Ability to integrate and troubleshoot audio/video systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in technical arts production and management.
• Troubleshooting computers, networks, and printers.
• Familiarity with Mac and Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Volunteer Leadership
  • Recruit, train, disciple, schedule, and support technical arts volunteers.
  • Build strong teams and foster unity within the worship and technical arts ministry.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical volunteers.
• Worship & Event Production
  •  Oversee technical production for worship services and events, including:
    • Sunday morning services.
    • Youth and children’s ministries.
    • Special services and church-wide events.
  • Ensure all services are prepared, professional, and distraction-free.
  • Respond to service-day technical needs and adjustments.
• Audio, Video & Live Streaming.
  • Lead sound, lighting, and video production for services and events.
  • Manage live streaming systems and broadcasts.
  • Record and edit video content for church communication and ministries.
• Technology & IT Support
  • Maintain and operate audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems.
  • Utilize tools such as Planning Center, ProPresenter, video editing software, Ableton Live, and presentation platforms.
  • Provide basic IT support for staff and ministry teams.
• Administration & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with pastoral and ministry staff to plan worship services.
  • Participate in staff meetings, rehearsals, and church events.
  • Partner with Trustees and Finance Committee on equipment and budget planning.
  • Communicate promptly and arrange coverage when absent.

Other Information

• This position reports to the Senior Pastor.
• This is a full-time position.
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
