Job Description
First Christian Church in Iola, KS is looking for a Family/Youth Pastor with a real pioneering spirit – someone ready to build from the ground up. Someone who isn’t afraid of a difficult challenge, a self-starter, requires minimal supervision, committed to the long-haul and able to think outside the box. Most importantly, a real servant’s heart and a spiritual obsession to reach lost sheep and share the love of Jesus with all. This role offers true creative freedom, heart-felt support, and the chance to make an eternal difference – not step into a pre-existing mold but actually create one!
Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry from an accredited institution, (such as TRACS or ABHE) is preferred.
- However, five years or more of full-time ministry experience without a ministry degree is also acceptable.
Experience
- Three years or more of previous family/youth ministry is generally preferred.
- However, IF you feel called to this position but have limited experience, GO FOR IT! We will listen with an open mind and heart.
Annual Salary
- $45,000-$55,000 based on experience and qualifications. Start Date: After January 2, 2026
