Job Description
The First Christian Church of Buffalo is actively seeking a full-time Pastor to lead our congregation. Located in the heart of the Ozarks, Buffalo offers a high quality of life with close proximity to Springfield, Bennett Spring State Park, and numerous area lakes.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a leader with spiritual maturity whose private and public life reflects the character of Christ. Our ideal pastor is someone who:
- Preaches with Passion:
- Has a deep commitment to the growth of God’s Church through the preaching of His Word.
- Communicates Effectively:
- Delivers scriptural insights in a way that connects with and challenges the congregation.
- Leads & Disciples:
- Effectively guides the church in learning and application, with a heart for shepherding the community.
- Remains Spiritually Attuned:
- Is sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
- Connects with People:
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and reflective listening skills.
- Maintains Balance:
- Prioritizes a healthy balance between personal spiritual growth, family life and ministry.
- Engages the Community:
- Is eager to be an active, visible presence within the Buffalo area.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Ministry experience is preferred, but not required.
- Education:
- A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and a Master of Divinity (or equivalent) are preferred, but not required.
