Overview
First Church of Christ in Atlantic Iowa is seeking to fill the position of lead pastor. First Church of Christ in Atlantic is located in a town of 7000 people set squarely halfway between Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska.
We are an non-denominational, elder lead church in which the lead pastor is part of the eldership team and involved in the decision-making process. We are a young, vibrant, healthy, and growing church that God is blessing in avenues of both spiritual and numerical growth. We believe in teaching and preaching the whole truth of scripture according to God’s instruction and interpretation.
Job Description
The lead pastors main roles are
- To help care for and Shepherd the flock at FCC,
- Deliver Sunday morning sermons, and
- To actively go out and invite the lost to encounter Jesus in a real saving relationship.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have
- A pastoral degree,
- Be an energetic,
- Self-motivated outgoing person,
- Good communication skills, and
- Mostly a love for Jesus and people.
