Organization Description
Sperry Christian Church is a community‑focused congregation of 75–100 members located in Sperry, Oklahoma, just north of Tulsa. Our mission is to reach the lost, equip the saved, and give God the glory.
SCC is experiencing exciting growth in our youth ministry and is seeking a full‑time Youth Minister who will lead the youth with spiritual clarity, relational warmth, and a passion for discipling the next generation. This role is central to our commitment to reach students in the Sperry community and guide them toward a lifelong walk with Christ.
About the Position
Our goal is to develop a ministry that not only reaches our youth, but their families, and our community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrate initiative,
- Effective organizational and leadership skills and
- The ability to work collaboratively with our Senior Minister, Elders, and Children’s Minister to build upon the ministry that is already in place.
Responsibilities
- This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- The SCC youth ministry program for 6-12th grade.
- Lead and teach Wednesday Night and Sunday School lessons for 6-12th grade.
- Recruiting, training and leading Kingdom Workers for this ministry to continue to grow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Youth/Student Ministry preferred or 5 years experience.
- Passion for Youth Ministry Additional responsibilities as needed.
- Evangelist-must be passionate about spreading the Gospel.
- Have a heart to be involved in the community, outreach, discipleship, and school activities.
