Petition for Graduation

I hereby make the formal application for graduation from Manhattan Christian College for the date indicated below. I will complete the necessary courses to meet all of the requirements for the degree listed below by the graduation date indicated below. All MCC graduates are encouraged to participate in the commencement ceremony in May. Graduates who have completed their degree program since the previous commencement may participate in the next commencement ceremony.

  • Enter your college student identification number
  • Your name as you want it to appear on the diploma…be very specific! Whatever you list here, is what will be printed on your diploma. Questions to think about: Do you want your middle name included? Do you want your middle initial with a period or without a period? Do you want a suffix included? *If your name has changed due to marital status, you must fill out a “Change of Information” form, and provide required documents before the new name will be printed on your diploma. You can find this form under “Alumni Resources” on the school website, or visit the Academic Office to fill it out.
  • Enter your assigned MCC email address. This will be the email used to communicate anything regarding graduation, diplomas, etc. Students planning to graduate/ participate in the Commencement ceremony are expected to check, and respond to emails regularly. The Academic Office will not be held responsible for students who do not communicate, or keep up with emails regarding graduation. Petitions that do not have an MCC email address will not be processed.
  • Address where you want your diploma mailed to. *Diplomas can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months to be processed. Please list an address that you know will not change within that time window (your address, parents address, etc.). Do NOT list an address that you know could change in the months following graduation, and definitely Do NOT put the MCC address!
  • MCC orders your cap and gown for you. Please indicate your height and weight (cap is one size fits all)

  • Check the major you have declared for the Associate of Arts degree
  • Check the major you have declared for the Associate of Science degree
  • Check the major you have declared for the Bachelor of Arts degree
  • Check the major you have declared for the Bachelor of Science degree
  • Check the primary (first) emphasis you have declared for your Christian Ministry degree.
  • Check the secondary (second) emphasis you have declared for your Christian Ministry degree.
  • Have you completed ALL of your Christian Service credits?
  • Have you received credit for your Directed Field Experience (DFE)?
  • If you answered “No,” please explain.
  • List ALL non-MCC courses (e.g. KSU, Community College, CPL, CLEP, DSST tests, etc.) you are/will be enrolled in for your final semester.

  • All Manhattan Christian College seniors who expect to graduate must complete ALL non-traditional delivery work (CPL, CLEP/DSST testing, etc.) by the following deadlines:

    May graduation by May 15
    August graduation by July 15

  • Once this form is submitted and the Petition for Graduation fee is paid, the Registrar will complete a graduation audit. Once the audit is complete (it can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks), you will receive an email from the Registrar with the results–approving, or not approving you for graduation.
