Parking

Parking is available in MCC parking lots North of Howie’s Activity Center, accessible from Laramie Street, and South of Howie’s Activity Center, accessible from 14th Street. Street parking is also available on Laramie Street and Fairchild Avenue.

Dress for Graduates

All degree candidates will wear academic dress (cap/gown/tassel). The dress size information is collected on the Petition for Graduation. The Registrar’s Office will order all caps, gowns and tassels and will notify candidates when materials arrive. Dual-Degree graduates may also use MCC’s cap and gown for the KSU ceremony. However, you will need to purchase a tassel for the KSU ceremony as it will be a different color.

Regalia is not to be ornamented. Wearing of corsages or boutonnieres is not appropriate to academic protocol. Honor and Veteran cords are to be worn around the neck and will be distributed by the Registrar’s Office prior to the ceremony.

Printed Graduation Announcements

If you wish, graduation announcements may be ordered from Herff Jones. Click here, search for “Manhattan Christian College” and click “continue” to view the store and place your order.

Degree Requirements

A final review of every candidate’s transcript will be made before your diploma is printed to ensure that all requirements are completed including Christian Service credits for graduation from MCC. When all degree requirements have been met, including any financial obligations, the diploma will be mailed to the graduate. (Please provide change of address to the Registrar’s Office.)

Grades in all courses applicable to the degree must be reported to the Registrar’s Office. Official transcripts from other institutions must be sent to the Office of the MCC Registrar.

Candidates who have applied for May graduation, but are not able to complete all requirements in time, may postpone their graduation.  Contact the Vice President for Academic Affairs, if you wish to postpone your graduation.

There will be no exceptions for early commencement participation. All degree requirements must be completed and the Petition for Graduation must be approved by the Registrar.
