Crestview Christian Church is seeking a Children’s Pastor.  CV Kids is a children’s ministry that is uniquely designed to fit our kids at Crestview. Luke 2:52 says that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men. This is the same thing that we desire for each of our kids at Crestview. Every Sunday, all children (birth through 5th grade) are provided safe and age-appropriate environments, where the Bible is taught to them in creative and relevant ways. At our 8:15am, 9:30am and 11:00am services we offer class for all children. We are currently seeking a Children’s Pastor.

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for the development and administration of Crestview’s ministry to children from birth to 5th grade. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading volunteers and parents, equipping them to reach and disciple children to be vibrant followers of Christ who learn to walk with God, serve the church, and understand their personal mission in life.

 

Job Summary

Direct responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Cast vision and develop strategic plans consistent and aligned with Crestview’s mission and vision.
  • Implement and coordinate a ministry plan and budget in order to achieve short-range and long-range ministry objectives resulting in spiritual transformation of children.
  • Oversee all major elements within the Children’s Ministry (birth through 5th Grade) including:
    • Sunday morning activities,
    • Youth events and
    • Annual activities.
  • Recruit, equip, and oversee all levels of leadership within the Children’s Ministry including volunteers, parents and interns.
  • Develop a strategy which engage parents in the first steps of their ongoing responsibility of sharing the Gospel and discipling their child.
  • Develop and incorporate teaching materials and curriculum to be used by the Children’s Ministry.
  • Ensure all volunteers have adequate security screening and training to provide a safe and productive learning environment for children at Crestview.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Highlighted below are many of the characteristics of a candidate we feel would need to be successful in this position:

  • Skilled in identifying, attracting, and recruiting new leaders.
  • Experienced in empowering people and leading teams of staff and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to administer and organize budgets, events, and ministry communications.
  • Offer creativity, energy, wisdom, discretion, and maturity to ministry dynamics and programming.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little direct supervision at times.
  • Experience coordinating multiple activities and diverse programs.

 

Education

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required and an emphasis in the field of:
    • Early Childhood Development,
    • Christian Education, or
    • Children’s Ministry is preferred.
