Job Description
SONShine Christian Church is seeking a part-time minister for our Independent Christian Church congregation in rural Smith Center, Kansas. This position could be bi-vocational. Our church has approximately 30 active members, a modern building and no debt.
Ideally, our minister would be a seminary graduate, have generally conservative views on societal issues, be highly motivated toward evangelism and willing to be involved in the community. We are praying that with increased growth of the congregation, this pastoral position could potentially become full-time.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering a weekly sermon for worship services.
- Conducting weddings, funerals and baptisms.
- Participating with the local ministerial alliance.
- Providing pastoral care to members of the congregation.
There is no parsonage provided with this position. Salary is negotiable based upon experience and qualifications.
