Job Description
The Garden City Church of Christ, located in the southwest corner of Kansas, is seeking a minister who is passionate about preaching, teaching, and equipping others to serve. As a congregation of over 70 members, we are committed to living out the love of Jesus by serving one another and our community. We offer an active Leadership Training for Christ (LTC) program and host an annual Christian Women’s Conference.
We are looking for a married preacher who is eager to minister alongside us and help cast a vision that blends 1st Century principles with 21st Century methods.
About Us
Garden City is a growing city and a major shopping hub for people traveling from over 100 miles away. The salary, along with benefits, is negotiable and will be based on experience and education.
We are a congregation that is friendly, loving, and supportive. We have an attendance of 80+ with a great potential to grow! We have two elders and three deacons who are cohesive, open, and complementary.
We host a large youth rally each August (“Back to School Bash”), which is the 26th year for the event. We are also hosting a growing Women’s Conference, which will be the 7th year for this event. We also take time when the school year begins, to pray for our students and staff at various schools.
Nearly all of our kids go to church camp each summer to either Black Mesa Bible Camp or Silver Maple Camp. We also take our kids to participate in Leadership Training for Christ (www.gpltc.net), in Rogers, Arkansas, on Easter weekend.
