Job Description

The Student and Worship Ministry Director provides leadership for both Student Ministry (6th–12th grade) and Worship Ministry, fostering a Christ-centered environment for discipleship and worship. This role equips volunteers, engages students, leads worship gatherings, and integrates youth into the broader church community.

 

Spiritual And Character Qualifications
  • A clear testimony of faith in Christ and a growing relationship with Him.
  • Meets biblical qualifications for an overseer (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
  • A self-motivated leader with vision and initiative.
  • Teachable, humble, and accountable in leadership.
  • Possesses spiritual gifts of teaching, leadership, and administration.
Primary Responsibilities
Student Ministry Leadership
  • Lead weekly youth gatherings with fellowship, teaching, and small groups.
  • Prepare and deliver biblical messages for middle and high school students.
  • Plan and execute events, retreats, and outreach opportunities.
  • Develop a discipleship strategy to connect students with the church.
  • Partner with parents in their role as spiritual leaders.
Worship Ministry Leadership
  • Lead Sunday worship services, special events, and church-wide gatherings.
  • Recruit, train, and develop worship team members (musicians and vocalists).
  • Oversee worship technology, including audio, visual, and livestream components.
  • Maintain PCO, ProPresenter, and media resources for worship services.
  • Oversee and equip teams to manage social media presence.
Social Media Leadership
  • Create and post content aligned with the church’s mission.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to engage the community.
  • Promote church events, services, and activities through social media channels.
  • Collaborate with staff to align content with sermons and announcements.
Staff and Volunteer Development
  • Recruit, train, and equip volunteer leaders for both ministries.
  • Create leadership opportunities for students and worship team members.
Administration & Pastoral Care
  • Manage budgets, logistics, and resources for Student and Worship Ministries.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning, and church leadership initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral care to students, families, and worship team members.
Qualifications
Competency and Experience
  • Proven ability to teach and engage middle and high school students.
  • Experience leading and growing a student and/or worship ministry.
  • Skilled in recruiting and mentoring volunteers and student leaders.
  • Ability to plan and execute events and outreach.
  • Proficient in worship leading (vocals + guitar/keyboard preferred).
  • Familiarity with youth culture, social media, and worship technology.
Relational & Leadership Skills
  • Strong relational and pastoral skills with students, parents, and worship teams.
  • Team player who collaborates well across ministries.
  • Organized and proactive, ensuring smooth ministry operations.
