Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Reporting: Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students
The U.S. Department of Education has provided money to colleges and universities for institutional support as well as student support through three federal awards known as the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF).
CARES: Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act: (HEERF I)
CRRSAA: Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (HEERF II)
ARP: American Rescue Plan (HEERF III)
The purpose of these funds is to support both institutions and students for specific expenses that are a direct result of the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.
Manhattan Christian College has received the following total allocations
HEERF I (CARES): $295,046. Per federal guidance the allocation was to be split $102,477 (50%)
towards student support and $102,477 towards institutional support.
HEERF II (CRRSAA): $333,837. Per federal guidance the allocation was to be split $102,477
towards students support and $231,360 towards institutional support.
HEERF III (ARP): $561,845. Per federal guidance the allocation is to be split $285,508 towards
student support and $276,337 for institutional support.
