Youth & Worship Pastor
Job Description
Northside Christian Church is looking for a Youth & Worship Pastor. As a member of our pastoral staff, the Youth & Worship Pastor will apply his or her gifts and skills to help Northside Christian Church fulfill its mission of making disciples.
Because this is a dual position the right candidate will be able to organize their time between the youth and worship ministries. Key responsibilities will be to recruit and develop volunteers in all areas of the youth and worship ministry – including youth sponsors, musicians, vocalists, sound technicians, and computer technicians.
This is a full time position. Due to the nature of rehearsals and youth group and the evening hours required, office hours will be discussed and agreed to with Sr. Pastor, and are relatively flexible but will include Sunday morning, worship rehearsal, and weekly staff meeting.
This position is accountable to the Senior Pastor and the Elders.
Expectations

- Engage in regular and ongoing accountability with the Elders and staff.
- Cultivate personal relationships.
- Continued discipleship of worship arts team.
- Train and encourage youth leaders.
Necessary Skills
- Proficient in Pro Presenter.
- Proficient in Planning Center.
- Not required, but a plus to be able to do video editing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend weekly staff meeting for pray and planning.
- Plan and implement worship elements for Sunday services.
- Schedule band, vocalists, and tech crew at least 2 weeks out.
- Coordinate service elements with Sr. Pastor and staff.
- Lead weekly Worship Team rehearsal in preparation for Sunday services.
- Edit and upload weekly announcement videos for worship service.
- Lead and develop our teen ministries, including training of youth leaders
Occasional Duties
- Organize special worship events, such as Christmas Eve.
- Record baptism testimony videos.
- Possibly preach once or twice a year.
- Additional projects as agreed to with Sr. Pastor.
Our current worship and youth pastor is leaving in August for a new position, after nearly 4 years. It is a healthy situation with a supportive congregation.
Salary commensurate to experience but will start around $43,000.
