In 2002 he became the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at MCC. In 2005 after the retirement of long-time president Ken Cable, with the approval of the MCC Board of Trustees, Ingram was named the as the 7th President of Manhattan Christian College.

What President Ingram has to say about MCC:

I love so many things about working at MCC so it is hard to say.  Ultimately I get the best of both worlds.  I get to see the future in our current students, and I get to see the present as I travel and see alumni serving in their many roles.  As I see them I get to see eternity because they are all helping fulfill MCC’s vision of preparing men and women to help penetrate the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they do so regardless of their chosen profession.
