Children Pastor
Job Description
The primary role of the Children Pastor will be to humbly serve the Lord Jesus Christ as a staff member of the Crossroads Christian Church, to collaborate with the rest of the staff, and to serve the church as a whole, emphasizing PK-5th graders. This will include being focused on establishing relationships with kids and their families and using those relationships to develop true, lasting, and reproducing relationships with Jesus Christ.
Crossroads Christian Church is a 28-year-old, multi-generational church in the Kansas City suburb of Shawnee, KS. They are an independent Christian Church, part of the Restoration Movement, with an average Sunday attendance of 600 in 3 services. Their mission is to bring people to Jesus Christ and to assist them in becoming His fully devoted, reproducing followers.
Position Key Responsibilities
- Pastor and shepherd children’s ministry families and volunteers.
- Build and develop a strong, healthy, well-trained team of volunteers to effectively carry out the ministry vision.
- Oversee the plan of ministry for children.
- Collaborate with the other Crossroads Church staff to accomplish the church vision.
- Manage the children’s ministry budget.
