The elders at Cactus Christian Fellowship, Phoenix, AZ, are currently seeking someone to replace our recently retired minister of 20+ years.

General responsibilities include:

Faithfully proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching and teaching Bible based sermons for Sunday worship;
Have a heart for the discipleship of the saints
Engage in pastoral care of the congregation by visiting members in the hospital and at home to pray and encourage them;
Provide administrative leadership for the staff.
Have a Shepherd’s heart for reaching across cultural lines, and leading in multi-generational ministry
Meet with elders and ministry team leaders to pray, plan, and provide vision for outreach.
Meet the qualifications identified in 1 Tim. 4:6-13, 1Tim.6: 11-14, and 2 Tim. 2:21-24.
Have proven successful experience in Pastoral Ministry, Preaching and Teaching.

We are an independent Christian Church in Phoenix, Arizona established in 1971 by the efforts of Arizona Evangelical Association.

Our facility is debt free, and we are financially stable.

Our congregation currently numbers below 100 (post-covid).

A high percentage of our congregation attends Sunday morning Bible Study and small groups which meet during the week.

We currently have 4 elders, a fulltime associate minister (who also serves as worship leader) and administrative manager. One of our elders serves part time as facilities manager.

Salary is negotiable; and includes benefits, vacation, and continuing education reimbursement.

About Phoenix: we are a thriving, growing city and currently ranked the 5^th largest city in the US. 15 of major league baseball teams travel to greater Phoenix for their spring training. It’s only 3 hours to the Grand Canyon. Plentiful museums, restaurants, shopping and other family attractions. Great state to invite your friends and family to come visit you.
