Senior Pastor

Job Description

New Life Christian Church is seeking a Senior Pastor who is able to passionately communicate the Word of God through preaching and teaching; who can lead, inspire and organize staff and members while providing vision and discipleship; and who can compassionately shepherd, equip and unite the church body as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

New Life Christian Church’s Senior Pastor will strategically lead this congregation, devoting himself to prayer and the ministry of the Word by the Holy Spirit. His character – above reproach, temperate, hospitable, managing his own house well, not self-willed, not quick tempered – will be an example to the congregation and will protect the gospel witness in our community.

He will faithfully shepherd the members of New Life Christian Church, seeking their growth to spiritual maturity, and equipping them for the work of the ministry and outreach to the community. He will guard against false teaching and straying from the faith. He will encourage the church in following the commission in Matthew 28:18-20. He will lead, knowing he will give an account to God for his stewardship, submitting himself to the authority of God’s Word.

New Life Christian Church is a small congregation of believers in the Restoration Movement Fellowship of Churches. We are located in southern Minnesota, in the town of Albert Lea. We are not simply “family oriented” but strive always to be a true family formed in the Lord. We honor and love the Word of God and will always seek its application in truth and in love. We are a part of the Body of Christ…not perfect in and of ourselves but growing in His perfect likeness and love. We desire to grow through engaging our community and equipping church members to fulfill the mission of reaching the lost and making disciples.
