Youth Minister
Job Description
Oakley Christian Church is a church of 130 people located in rural Northwest Kansas conveniently on I-70. We are searching for a youth minister to join us in ministry to lead and to serve as a Youth Pastor. Under the leadership of and alongside the lead pastor, and elders. It is a Full Time Youth Minister role.
Responsibilities
- Weekly youth groups,
- Sunday School,
- Outreach events,
- Summer camps, Short-term summer mission trips,
- Preaching occasionally throughout the year,
- Counseling,
- Discipling,
- Two youth group meetings a week.
There is a separate building for the youth called the “Cave”. It’s a fantastic building for youth groups and other events. We meet on Wednesdays for our youth programs. Our Middle School average is 25 students, High School average is 25-30 as well. We also have a K-4th grade mid-week program called Bible Club averaging 80 kids.
We have Sunday mornings ABZ which is our kids church. We are in the middle of revamping this program as well. We are renovating and working on expanding ABZ. Many great opportunities to disciple and develop young adults as well. We have a good group of young families.

We have a young elder board that allows you to do ministry! We have around 25 younger couples with children. Our service is a little more traditional, but we spend our efforts and time into ministries and service.
This is a perfect place to learn youth ministry if it’s for a couple years or long term. Our Student Ministries are well established. However, we are open to changing things up as well.
