Job Description
WWCC is a non-denominational Restoration Movement Christian Church seeking to reach lost people in our community for Jesus while also focusing on building disciples by providing life groups, equipping classes, and events for our church members. Through prayer, investing, and inviting we look to increase our outreach strategy to reach those that are willing to come and figure out who Jesus really is. Our motto is “Pointing People to Jesus”.
Pre-Pandemic we had an average attendance of approximately 125 in a single Sunday Service. We currently average 60 to 70. We also broadcast our services live on YouTube.
Waynesboro is located at the intersection of Shenandoah National Park’s Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail. Waynesboro is full of adventure, whether your tastes run toward biking, hiking, and scenic drives, or paddling and fly fishing in the trout-stocked waters of the South Shenandoah River. The friendliness of our Appalachian Trail Community shines throughout our walkable downtown, featuring the renovated vaudeville-era Wayne Theatre set among shops, art galleries, and restaurants peppered with murals from the annual Virginia Street Arts Festival.
Waynesboro has rich cultural amenities to experience the beauty and history of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains. Waynesboro has a population of 22,327. Some of the largest industries in Waynesboro are Professional Services, Restaurants, Builders and Contractors.
Our former Minister recently completed a 10-year ministry with WWCC, leaving on good terms to serve and lead a larger church in another state. We are searching for our next Senior Minister who will set and cast a vision for our future with the support of our Elders, Deacons, and two support staff.
Our Senior Minister will lead the congregation through relational ministry as well as solid, biblical teaching. We would love our next Senior Minister to demonstrate a heart for leading others into outreach, both globally and locally.
Our Senior Minister (and his family) will be well loved and ideally become an integral part of our WWCC family. WWCC has an adjoining parsonage available, though not a requirement for employment.
